Intro Guitar!
Pick Up the Basics & Play with Confidence!
Strum your way into the world of music with our Beginner Guitar class—perfect for ages 12 and up! This 45-minute class is designed for those with no prior experience and offers a welcoming, step-by-step introduction to playing the guitar.
Using Step One: Teach Yourself Guitar by Hal Leonard, students will learn essential chords, strumming techniques, how to use a pick, and play along with beginner-friendly songs. Each monthly session includes 4 progressive classes, designed to gradually build your skills in a supportive group environment.
Please note: All classes and programs require a minimum number of participants to run. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the Cameron Park Community Services District (CSD) or the instructor reserves the right to cancel the class or program.
Class Requirements: Please bring a guitar and a copy of Step One: Teach Yourself Guitar (Hal Leonard Pub.).

To truly gain confidence and mastery of the basics, we strongly recommend committing to at least 6 consecutive months of classes. With consistent attendance and practice, you'll develop the foundation needed to continue your musical journey with ease.
